All HDA members who complete the vote will be entered into a drawing to win a 1GB Apple iPod Shuffle. (We can tell by your ADA # that you voted, but not who you voted for.)

2. Go to vod.votenet.com/HDA/login.cfm Log in with your unique username (ADA Registration/Member #) and password. The password for all eligible voters is HDA2008 (Note, no spaces in the password.)
3. Mark your selections on the ballot and submit as directed.

Statement: To gain more leadership experience and become more involved within HDA. It would give me an opportunity to network with other professionals.
Daryl Smith-Oswald
Credentials: RD
Position: Nutrition Therapist and Nutrition Consultant in private practice specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. Currently contracts with Kahi Mohala Behavioral Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Department of Education, and various care homes.
Statement: I would be happy to assist the Hawaii Dietetic Association to achieve its goals in the profession and in the community. I believe that dietitians need a voice in the healthcare arena to promote our skills and expertise. The HDA is an important part of that voice of advocacy and I believe in HDA‘s mission.

Statement: Considering that I am new to HDA, I would like to be more involved with the association. I would like to contribute ideas and experiences to help maintain and hopefully increase funds for HDA.

Statement: I would like to meet and network with other new dietitians and help increase participation among HDA members.

Ann Ditzler

Organization: HMSA’s HealthPass Center, Aiea
Statement: I would like to support the Hawaii Dietetic Association by serving as Chair Elect of the Nominating Committee. The Hawaii Dietetic Association has reached a long awaited milestone with the passage of legislation for Certification of Dietitians in Hawaii. I want to be part of the process by volunteering to be a candidate for Office for the 2008-2009 year.

Statement: I believe it is a time for me to get involved with HDA in hopes of contributing my skills, knowledge, and passion.

Statement: I’ve enjoyed being your delegate for the last three years and hope you will give me the opportunity to serve you again. I’ve made it my top priorities to keep HDA members informed of what is happening in ADA on a national level and to encourage your input on issues facing the ADA House of Delegates. I’ve formed relationships with ADA leaders and other House members which will allow me to be a more effective delegate for you.

Statement: Being a new dietitian, as CPI, I will have the opportunity to network and become more involved with the HDA. I will try my best to fulfill all of the expectations this position entails.

Position: Clinical Nutrition Manager, Sodexho at Queen's Medical Center
Statement: My goal will be to bring the RD in Hawaii to the forefront as the expert in nutrition, and to increase our visibility.
