Something to Wine About – October 6, 2017

 FUNDRAISING AND NETWORKING EVENT

Aloha Everyone!

“Wine” down at the end of a busy week with our second wine tasting fundraising event on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Join the Hawaii Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for an evening of socializing and networking at Oeno Winemaking while helping to raise funds for our 2018 HAND Annual Spring Conference. Sample locally, hand made wines while enjoying live entertainment.

For a $30 fee, each participant will be provided with a flight of wine samples and light pupus. We will also be having raffle tickets for purchase to win a prized bottle of wine.

This event is limited to 35 participants so sign up now while tickets last!

This event is open to both HAND and Non-HAND members. You must be at least 21 to participate in the wine tasting, although students are encouraged to come for conversation and connection. Nonalcoholic beverages will be provided as an alternative.

Par-TEA!

HAND members know how to Par-TEA! Please join us for the next CPI fundraiser/social networking event on March 10th at 5:30pm. The Tea Party will take place at Megumi Organic Salon (1137 11th Ave. #201, Honolulu, HI 96816). Bring your favorite Jam and Tea Hat as we will be having a Best Jam Contest and Best Hat Contest. Tea and food will be provided. Bring a teacup and get ready for a night of fun.

Candlelight Yoga

Join our upcoming HAND CPI Fundraiser/networking event, Candlelight Yoga, hosted by the CPI Committee and University of Hawai‘i FSHN Council on December 11, 2016 from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Maisa Thayer will be teaching a 60 minute yoga session at the Still & Moving Center in Kaka’ako from 4-5 pm, followed with food and live music. Please bring a yoga mat and enjoy a relaxing and refreshing afternoon. Yoga mats will also be available to rent. Purchase your ticket today. Everyone is welcome! We look forward to seeing you soon.

Liability waivers will need to be filled out prior to the event however, you will receive an email with your ticket purchase.

Register Now: Something to Wine About

Wine TastingAloha HAND Members,

Wind down at the end of a busy week with the first of many 2017 HAND Spring Conference Fundraiser events. Join the Hawaii Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics for an evening of socializing and networking at Oeno Winemaking, where we’ll sample wines and learn from the best about the marriage of food and drink.

Laurie Forster, an award- winning sommelier, author, media personality and comedian will be providing some information regarding wines and food pairing. Send your wine questions to cpi@eatrighthawaii.org

For $25, you will sample a flight of eight wines. Pupus are provided by Blue Zones Hawaii, in partnership with their Wine @ 5 initiative. This event is limited to 35 participants.

Participants must be at least 21 to participate in the wine tasting, although students are encouraged to come for conversation and connection. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided as an alternative. We hope to see you there!
