Volunteer Opportunity: FREE Kidney Screening

Aloha HAND Members!

On behalf of the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii, I am inviting Professional volunteers to help out with our FREE upcoming kidney health screening. Our Kidney Early Detection Screening (KEDS) are completely free and open to the public for anyone 18 years or older. At these events, participants go through several testing stations including: blood pressure, measurements, blood draw/glucose checks and urinalysis. They then take their results and have a brief consultation with a medical professional who interprets their results and gives them a snapshot of their current kidney function.

**Help needed with EXIT INTERVIEW – participants get to sit with a medical professional (RD, MD, RN, NP) to go over there test results.**

KEDS at KEY Project, 47-200 Waihee Rd, Kaneohe on Friday, July 1st 2016 from (8 am – 12 pm)

Please feel free to share the KEDS Flyer with anyone whom might be “at risk” for kidney disease – anyone with high blood pressure and/or diabetes.

MOST IMPORTANTLY –– if you or anyone is interested in helping us at the screening we would greatly appreciate it.  Our screenings would not be FREE nor possible if it wasn’t for the help we get from volunteers!
