Description
Presenter: Susan Ray, MS, RDN, CNSC, CDCES
“The Influence of the Gut Microbiome on Behavior” broadens the understanding of the connections between the gut-brain axis and nutritional interventions, including diet, probiotics and prebiotics. This presentation looks at the connection between the gut microbiome and human behavior – specifically, that how a person eats influences his/her gut microbiome enough to influence development and/or symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD and/or ASD. Susan also discusses nutritional changes that can improve the microbiome, and subsequently improve behaviors and mental health.
