2017 Spring Conference: Last Day to Register is April 30th!

The 2017 Hawaii Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (HAND) presents its Annual Spring Conference “Nourish Your Skills”, on Friday May 5, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m at the Pomaika‘i Ballrooms in the Dole Cannery, Honolulu.

An exciting line-up of speakers will address a variety of topics applicable to all disciplines in the field of dietetics, including sports nutrition, counseling strategies for eating disorders, ethics, pre-diabetes and much more. This conference is an excellent opportunity to join your colleagues and meet new friends for a day of learning and networking while earning 6 CPEUs.

Annual Legislative Day

2015 Legislative Day: March 11

The Public Policy Committee would like to invite you to join us at our Annual Legislative Day.

Where: State Capitol
When: Wednesday, March 11, 2015
Time: 7:00 am to 1:00 pm

We will serve a casual breakfast where HDA members can meet and talk with Legislators and legislative staff. It’s a great way to tell the story of what dietitians do in the State to improve the health of our community.
In the second half of the morning, we will be visiting some legislative offices to sit down with key legislators to discuss hot nutrition topics.
The day is a great way to learn more about the legislative process and the importance of public policy for our profession.
